About the position

Help shape the narrative of defense and aerospace innovation - where strategic marketing meets mission-critical technology. General Tool is looking for an innovative, creative marketing specialist to join our team! The Marketing Specialist will coordinate and support marketing strategies through market research, content creation, digital marketing, trade show coordination and collaboration with Business Development and other internal departments to drive brand awareness and sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively supports, monitors and assists in the development of annual marketing plan and budget while executing tactical measures.
  • Develops marketing and digital content and supports company growth efforts.
  • Develops compelling marketing materials including brochures, case studies, white papers, blog posts, websites, PowerPoint and social media content tailored to the aerospace and defense audience and employee development and engagement.
  • Develop and optimize online marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media and pay-per-click advertising.
  • Plan and execute trade shows, webinars, and other industry events to showcase products and services.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, governmental defense budgets, key defense and aerospace market activities and changes in defense work that may be of interest to GTC.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance to ensure goals are met and provide insights for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Work closely with business development, project management, human resources and engineering teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Actively supports industry and company public relations and communication activities.
  • Assist in the development of effective lead generation strategies and acts as point-of-contact in utilizing, training and reporting Salesforce data and trends.
  • Actively updates and maintains reports, analyzes activity and utilizes system data to make suggestions on customer outreach and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Familiarity and understanding of digital and social media platforms.
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, manage marketing projects, interact with external parties and promote organization through industry associations, trade shows and media.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking, time management and communication skills.
  • Aptitude and demeanor to effectively manage through challenging situations.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Above average PC based software skills including business management systems, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
