About the position
PacAero Agawam is seeking a Masker to support our plating department. This hands-on role is essential in preparing parts for plating operations, including masking, unmasking, cleaning, and inspection to ensure high-quality surface finishing per customer specifications. This is a full-time position based in Agawam, MA.
Responsibilities
- Apply masking materials (tape, paint, rubber, etc.) to parts to protect areas from plating, following detailed instructions or blueprints.
- Remove masking post-plating, inspect finished parts for quality, and report any defects or issues.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Clean parts using approved solvents and procedures before masking or plating.
- Collaborate with plating and quality control teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Assist with inventory management and organization of masking materials and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, drawings, and procedures.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or plating environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Comfortable handling small parts with precision.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks involving repetitive motion.

- Previous experience in masking or plating processes.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing environments.
