About the position

Responsibilities

  • Expand the open-source ecosystem and enhance accessibility of computer vision for developers.
  • Build upon existing Roboflow projects and create new ones that address gaps in the ecosystem.
  • Shape project roadmaps based on personal experiences and user feedback.
  • Write code, create documentation, and promote projects to the community.
  • Engage with contributors and users to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Develop technical content and demos to showcase open-source projects.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate open-source projects into the core Roboflow product.
  • Participate actively in relevant online communities and promote open-source projects through various channels.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Git, Python, PyTorch, Docker, OpenCV, NumPy, GitHub Actions, PyPI, and Linux.
  • Experience in building and leading open-source projects.
  • Strong track record of shipping software projects with fast adoption.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Background in computer science or a related field.
  • Ability to write clean code in Python and JavaScript.
  • Interest in computer vision, machine learning, and developer tooling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, OpenVINO, TensorRT, TFjs, TensorFlow, ONNX, and CUDA.
  • Experience with Roboflow or similar tools.
