We are currently hiring for an Operations Coordinator in Bohemia, NY. This position will require you to travel within long island, the 5 boroughs of NYC, and possibly the surrounding area to distribute equipment to employees, maintain the company fleet, track assets, and properly track vehicle and equipment assignments. The starting pay for this position is $20-23/hour depending on experience. Our Operations Coordinators manage, track and support assets (including fleet), equipment (including communications, locating equipment, gas detection equipment, and computers), inventory and general purchases in coordination with both the Purchasing and Supplier Manager and the Fleet and Cap Asset Manager. Manage and support building warehouse requirements and hazardous waste control. Provide general administrative support to the District. Ensuring the field technicians have all equipment needed to perform their daily functions is a priority.

Requirements

  • Be available 7am-5pm M-F
  • Be available Saturday and Sunday as needed.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Be computer proficient with basic knowledge of computer hardware preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory tracking experience preferred
  • Utility industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track all assets including but not limited to vehicles, GPS units, computers, phones, locating equipment, gas detection equipment,, and general purchases.
  • Travel to field locations as needed to support Operations.
  • Provide general administrative support as directed by management.
  • Trouble shoot computer issues in and out of the field, organize and manage the inventory, and maintain detailed lists of equipment allocation.
