Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HRBP team to support the people strategy for North America and the UK within the Sportsbook Product & Pricing organization.
  • Collaborate on improving the work environment and tooling for our Trading and Risk teams to enhance day-to-day effectiveness.
  • Support the development and execution of onboarding and training programs that equip team members for success and growth.
  • Help identify and nurture top and high-potential talent through career pathing, mentorship, and aligned development opportunities.
  • Promote cross-functional connection by supporting teams in building strong, collaborative partnerships across the broader organization.
  • Participate as a member of the SPP Leadership Team, contributing thought partnership and helping to ensure time spent together is aligned, impactful, and forward-looking.
  • Support the Trading, Risk, Product, and Sports Modeling teams in executing against their respective strategies.
  • Evaluate organizational readiness and identify areas needing further planning, resources, or capability development.
  • Ensure teams are clearly and proactively communicating progress against deliverables and long-term objectives.
  • Help define and uphold clear goals, accountability structures, and dedicated resources for all major transformation initiatives.
  • Lead strategy around productivity excellence for SPP department, identifying and implementing ideas to improve performance via greater productivity.
  • Audit and sharpen (or remove) meetings/committees' purpose and priorities.
  • Identify roles or processes to be removed or changed or where org structures are suboptimal.
  • Identify capability gaps/bottlenecks that slow down throughput.
  • Capture list of non-productive tasks we spend time on. Decide what to keep/kill.
  • Highlight the people who are driving productivity and positive change and ensure they are set up for success and are rewarded and celebrated.
  • Educate our leaders on culturally positive behaviors and changes we can make.
  • Represent the SPP LT on multiple strategic steering committees.
  • Join the Global Trading Team leadership group, collaborating with international colleagues on shared initiatives.
  • Act as an autonomous representative of the department in executive and key stakeholder forums.
  • Manage the Senior Manager, Commercial Trading, ensuring they have clear, challenging goals and are held accountable for delivery.
  • Oversee margin budgeting and forecasting, and report on performance across relevant timeframes.
  • Develop deep expertise in margin drivers, identify trends early, and translate insights into action across pricing and product strategies.
  • Support the Investor Relations team and Executive Committee in preparing materials for financial reporting and investor engagement.
  • Assess and validate opportunities in minor or growth sports, recommending optimal investment levels and strategic approaches.

Requirements

  • 10 years plus 4 years management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • High energy & high integrity individual with a learning attitude.
  • Exceptional communicator and influencer.
  • People-focused people leader that is both high EQ and strategically astute.
  • Substantial industry knowledge. Commercially savvy with a strategic mindset.
  • Experience in working with specialists in trading/product/data science/engineering/similar preferred but not essential.
