About the position

As a Painter you will prepare and apply paint and finishes to all types of exterior and interior surfaces in accordance with applicable techniques and procedures. Works in compliance with governmental regulations and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all types of interior surfaces for painting and finish coats.
- Select pre-mixed paints and match specified colors and finishes.
- Paint and finish all interior surfaces with paint sprayer, rollers and brushes.
- Recommend painting techniques and applications.
- Tape drywall, prepare surfaces with patching compounds and textures.
- Utilize correct procedures and techniques in the repair and finish of surfaces.
- Responsible for proper storage of materials included in a hazardous waste program.
- Use and store toxic and flammable materials in accordance with safety regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial painting.
- High School Diploma - General Studies.
- Knowledge and correct use of protective clothing and any ventilation requirements.
- Attention to detail and great accuracy required.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, carry, reach, push, pull and work at heights.
