About the position

At UCHealth, we improve lives by providing top of scope pharmacy support utilizing evidence-based protocols and best practices to promote safety at the point of care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will manage Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) to ensure unit-specific medication is safely available, perform sterile and non-sterile compounding and bulk medication repackaging while maintaining adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and conduct regular audits of medication inventory to identify expired or near-expired items, ensuring prompt removal and replacement. You will also value and effectively partner with a multidisciplinary team to achieve care outcomes, prioritize wellness, and model proficiency through precepting and mentoring those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) to ensure unit-specific medication is safely available.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification from Colorado Board of Pharmacy (PHAT).
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
