About the position
Theoria Medical is seeking a part-time physician to serve as the attending physician for residents in skilled nursing facilities. This role involves collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care, providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care services, and participating in various medical quality initiatives. The position offers flexible scheduling, with no overnight duties or weekend on-call requirements, and emphasizes a culture of appreciation and support for its staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the attending physician for residents at each facility.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for daily resident care.
- Provide comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
- Complete provider documentation in Theoria’s proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™.
- Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives.
- Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Utilize electronic/online medical tools for administrative functions.
Requirements
- Medical degree and valid medical license.
- Experience in primary care or related field.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
