Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities including user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design.
- Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams.
- Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications.
- Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors.
- Build good relationships with immediate team and cross-functional teams.
- Help organize team processes and mentor junior designers.
- Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding.
- Interpret user feedback and insights to improve user experience.
- Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations.
- Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process.
- Create and update user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.
- Advocate for user experience across the firm and facilitate training for groups outside the UX team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
