Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities including user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design.
  • Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams.
  • Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors.
  • Build good relationships with immediate team and cross-functional teams.
  • Help organize team processes and mentor junior designers.
  • Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding.
  • Interpret user feedback and insights to improve user experience.
  • Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations.
  • Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process.
  • Create and update user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.
  • Advocate for user experience across the firm and facilitate training for groups outside the UX team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience required.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
