About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for the Wafer and Sensor Operations released product portfolio. Products include implantable cardiac monitors and hybrid components leveraged in pacemakers and defibrillators. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functionality and quality of our products as they are shipped to our patients. You’ll work closely with a cross functional team to evaluate risk and implement changes to further improve the products. From overseeing manufacturing processes to conducting rigorous testing, your expertise will be critical in maintaining consistency and excellence in our product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the product impact of any non-conformances or changes implemented into production.
  • Review and troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment.
  • Conduct comprehensive failure analysis on yield fallout or field returns to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Set up and use testers or perform bench analysis testing using oscilloscopes, SMUs, etc.
  • Monitor and measure the efficiency of electrical systems and product traceability to ensure all shipped material meets requirements.
  • Analyze manufacturing and test data to improve product performance.
  • Work in manufacturing areas to disposition product and understand process integration impact on electrical performance of product.
  • Manage projects across the product portfolio to drive closure on quality issues or yield fallout, focusing on minimizing product costs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external suppliers, operations, process engineering, quality assurance teams, and other organizational units to identify and mitigate risks affecting the product portfolio.
  • Present trends, KPIs, and yield improvements to the management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of relevant engineering experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field like Electrical Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with device failure analysis.
  • Experience in Six sigma, Design for Reliability and Manufacturing, or Lean principles.
  • Familiarity with medical change control and process qualification (characterization, OQPQ).
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor physics, electronics, and circuit design principles.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable using data analysis and statistics to reach conclusions.
  • Ability to multi-task, functioning both as individual contributor and as team leader in multiple projects.
  • Ability to share information effectively and train other engineers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
