We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack with a passion for solving complex problems, owning architecture decisions, and building resilient, scalable systems. You’ll play a critical role in leading initiatives, mentoring engineers, and crafting high-performance software that powers modern financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications and APIs that handle large-scale financial data integrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and fellow engineers to shape and deliver impactful features.
  • Optimize systems for speed, scalability, and reliability across the stack.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern full stack frameworks and tools.
  • Lead technical exploration, evaluate new tools and frameworks, and champion engineering best practices.
  • Embed security and compliance standards into all layers of the application stack.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development.
  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
  • Experience implementing security best practices and managing sensitive data.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • FinTech or financial data experience (e.g., integrations with Plaid, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures, event-driven design, and microservices
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Prior leadership in technical planning or team/project mentorship
