About the position
Prisma Access™ combines the Internet connectivity/security you need – and delivers it everywhere you need it. Using cutting-edge public and private cloud technologies, it extends next-generation security protection to all cloud services and to its customers regardless of whether they are on-premise, on remote networks, or mobile users. A crucial part of Prisma Access™ is our GlobalProtect mobile team, which is responsible for securing the network traffic from customer devices (smartphones, tablets) to the Prisma Access™ Cloud. We are seeking an experienced Mobile Software Engineer (Android) to design, develop, and deliver next-generation technologies within our GlobalProtect team. We want passionate engineers who love to code and build great products and who bring new ideas in all facets of software development. Requirements
- 10+ years in software development, with a strong focus on the Android platform
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Android systems programming, demonstrating a deep understanding of Android OS internals, system-level development, and systematic debugging capabilities
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Android development paradigms
- Direct experience with JNI (Java Native Interface) and C++ for Android development
- Familiarity with core Android frameworks such as Android Jetpack, Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux), and Android's robust security architecture
- A foundational understanding of networking principles, with a strong aptitude for learning specific networking protocols and troubleshooting tools on Android platforms
- A dedicated team player with a can-do attitude, ready to tackle complex problems and eager to continuously learn and grow
- Skilled at collaboration and effective communication across multiple teams
- An M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience
