As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a senior member on the team, expected to contribute to the technical leadership and center of excellence within the Workplace Investing’s (WI) Stock Plan Services group.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical leadership and center of excellence within the Stock Plan Services group.
- Provide support in a distributed environment, including Cloud (Azure), Java, Oracle, K8S, Datadog/Splunk, ETL.
- Provide support in a mainframe environment using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files.
- Design and build new solutions and enhance existing systems.
- Provide technical and functional guidance/leadership to the team.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Form trusted working relationships with business unit stakeholders through collaboration and effective communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe and distributed platforms.
- At least 3 years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience in designing and building new solutions and enhancing existing systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies to support day to day operations.
- Analytical & detail-oriented thought process with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and explain complex problems or solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
