Commercial Insurance IT supports the Commercial Insurance business group which is the fourth largest commercial insurer in the US. Commercial Insurance IT leverages strengths to continue to simplify operations and invest in new technologies that provide competitive advantage. In this position, you will be a leader and key contributor in the delivery of Document Solutions projects within Commercial Insurance. Job summary: Provides technical consulting on complex to highly complex projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve medium to highly complex problems. Leads projects or subprojects of medium to high technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Responsible for quality assurance review. Provides coaching and guidance to team. Job responsibility: 1. Performs complex to highly complex source code development. 2. Assists in complex to highly complex unit test case development. 3. Develops complex to highly complex test scripts. 4. Assists in the development of production support documentation. 5. Provides functional/system integration testing support. 6. Performs Quality Assurance architecture and design guide review. 7. Generally 8+ years of professional experience. Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies. Thorough knowledge of diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts. Thorough understanding of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs. Highly proficient in software engineering languages and tools; ability to develop on multiple platforms. Thorough knowledge of a business function(s) and I/T industry business issues; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives. Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills. Proficient in Java/J2EE development. Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and Liberty Forge tools preferred. Experience with widely used document repositories and/or document generation engines.
