With this in mind, we are looking to expand and grow our Private Cloud Engineering team with talented and inspired Software Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and update system logic and documentation with senior engineers' guidance.
  • Lead in designing, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting software systems.
  • Responsible for frontend and backend software development.
  • Stay updated and contribute on product roadmaps and upcoming technology changes.
  • Assist customer issues as needed and help ensure technical standards and documentation requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with sales engineering and operational teams to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Learn about the operational challenges faced by engineering teams and assist in developing strategies to address them.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Java, Groovy, Ruby, and/or Python.
  • Expertise with Linux environments.
  • Expertise in backend development, RESTful APIs, server-side logic, or database management with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of core compute, storage, and networking principles.
  • Expertise with virtualization, IT Service Management (ITSM), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and other automation technologies.
  • Expert in build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to listen and learn from more experienced engineers, architects, and senior leaders.
  • Take complete ownership of projects and mistakes, possess problem-solving skills, and have tremendous self-drive.
  • Knowledge of system architecture and design principles.
  • Strong history of translating product requirements into technical tasks.
  • Strong history of identifying areas for product improvements and contributing ideas that align with business objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pursuing or completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CompTIA Security+).
  • Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Release Management, Security-First Mindset, User Experience (UX)
