About the position

Investment Risk Analytics services provides industry leading technology, robust market risk analytics and reporting services supporting institutional investors, such as risk managers, compliance officers, boards, portfolio managers, and investors. The Product Advocacy and Commercialization, AVP, is responsible for driving commercialization efforts of existing and new investment analytics servicing products. The candidate will engage with internal and external clients to fully understand the market, competitive landscape, trends, and business needs. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of market risk analytics, liquidity analytics, and ESG data. The candidate will implement a consultative approach to construct solutions and drive revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and understand the risk analytics industry and competitive positioning.
  • Drive new business process including deal pricing, RFP responses, presentations, and develop materials to support revenue growth.
  • Actively participate in promoting our brand through thought leadership.
  • Develop subject matter expertise with respect to the product suite and remain close to the customer segment through client interaction to assure satisfaction and relevance of the product to customers' evolving needs.
  • Develop key relationships, both internally and externally, to continue advancement of our product suite.
  • Collaborate with sales, client relationship, product development, and finance during the sales process to deliver high quality and compelling client proposals in order to win new business mandates.
  • Communicate product strategy, including market requirements and opportunities to both internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in internal sales and product development working groups.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships inside and outside of an organization.
  • Investment and analytical background.
  • Ability to conduct meetings with senior level clients and prospects and engage in needs identification.
  • Ability to create compelling demonstrations that display our value proposition.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events or to other State Street locations up to 15 - 25% of the time.
  • 2+ years of related experience (consulting, investment analytics, solution sales & implementation).

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA, CFA or CIPM preferred, not required.
