You will draft new or modified product contract forms and reinsurance treaties, ensuring complete, accurate, and legally sound agreements. You will be proficient in project management of contract form and reinsurance initiatives to lead project success, including building relationships with internal and external parties and assisting in negotiations. You will help with the filing process including filing, obtaining, communicating, and maintaining state department of insurance approval of product contract forms and other similar forms. Establish clear and accurate communication with state regulators and internal partners. You will analyze legislative and regulatory updates. You will lead or provide support for miscellaneous projects. Research state regulations supporting product development projects. You will report to the Product Contracting Manager II.

Responsibilities

  • Help with drafting contract forms and reinsurance documents, including new documents or modifications to existing and other drafting process activities.
  • Ensure the compliance of previously filed forms through analysis of legislative updates, identifying the need for new forms or modifications to existing forms.
  • Answer requests for information on past filings.
  • File and obtain state approvals of forms, including filing preparation and internal and external/regulator coordination and communication.
  • Guide the team's productivity through proactive process management, including activity tracking and metrics, document retention, business intelligence, and other process-related activities.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience required
  • Knowledge of insurance products, how they work, and the rules and regulations associated with them.
  • JD Required
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future.
