We're seeking a future team member for the role of Product Design Lead, User Experience/Product Designer to. This role is located in New York, NY-Hybrid 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and design of one of our most critical financial products
  • Define and design complex systems with a user-first approach
  • Drive a seamless and intuitive product experience by deeply understanding our users
  • Map and analyze end-to-end user journeys to identify pain points, key moments, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design complex web interfaces and workflows, creating products that are both highly functional and visually engaging
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals
  • Possess advanced skills in tools such as Figma and Miro, to create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
  • Experience with and contribute to a global design system that ensures visual consistency across interfaces
  • Develop workflow patterns and components that can then be reused by other teams
  • Bring an understanding of the unique challenges of designing and maintaining complex systems
  • Articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders, making complex ideas accessible
  • Mentorship and leadership skills, guiding junior designers and elevating team standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in regulated spaces like finance, health, or insurance
  • Portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction and UI design, journey mapping, and complex systems knowledge
  • Proficiency in Design Tools, including Figma and Miro
  • Experience with and contribution to a global design system
  • Complex Systems Knowledge
  • Effective Communication and Storytelling
  • Mentorship and Leadership
