About the position

The product development analyst is responsible for supporting item creation process and part master data management. Also responsible for maintaining the correct attributes and features in item management system software.

Responsibilities

  • Support standardized item management rigor on global product development related projects.
  • Responsible for timely and successful item set ups in ERP system.
  • Support maintenance and audit of item attributes and other information points.
  • Participate in cross-functional alignment efforts across developing common processes and data structure.
  • Assist in BOM creation and part breakdown as needed.
  • Work on recording various data point and measurements from the item/sample breakdown process and update master data templates accordingly.
  • Manage various workflows related to item creation, product development and OE research.
  • Manage KPIs for item set up and attribute quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience combined in engineering or product management ideally in the automotive aftermarket or industrial distribution.
  • Ability to read engineering drawing and BOM documents.
  • Familiar with product data management, process improvement, project tracking and analytics, managing new product releases and product launches.
  • Familiarity with automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or adjacent sectors (e.g., industrial goods, ecommerce B2B/B2C) is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of product and catalog management tools.
  • Strong work ethic and self driven.
  • Comfortable with performance scorecards, and KPIs.
  • Able to operate in a fast-moving, matrixed, and remote-first environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to business strategy.
  • Experience working with data and content via various systems/formats including ERP, PIM, ACES/PIES and TecDoc.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, MDM platforms, and data analytics.
  • Experience in data governance, master data clean-up, and ownership frameworks.
  • Change management understanding, particularly in transitioning from decentralized to centralized models.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish preferred.
