About the position

The Product Development Program Associate role is a full-time associate position within a two-year rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent. Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in a rotational program in August 2026. Rotations occur at the one-year mark and allow for hands-on experience in two distinct roles. Associates who participate in this program may choose to remain in their final role placement upon completion of the program or explore other opportunities at Capital One. Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, for the duration of your time in the Program in accordance with Capital One's hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience leveraging new technology while building product management skills in two distinct roles over two years.
  • Develop leadership skills in the professional setting through meaningful interaction with product leaders.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to understand customer and business problems, make strategic business decisions, and lead high functioning tech teams to implement solutions.
  • Participate in Experiential education weeks focused on leadership development, challenging strategic problem-solving exercises, and extensive networking activities.
  • Partner with other product managers to ship, scale, and improve products that delight our customers and position our company for substantial growth.
  • Own the success and life cycle of features for your product/platform, setting its strategy and driving prioritization decisions toward improvements.
  • Partner with experts to craft and drive long-term business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver your vision while participating in relevant governance and risk forums.
  • Engage with your network of developers, designers, analysts, data scientists, customers and other subject-matter experts.

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2026 or earlier.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, software delivery, data science, software engineering, or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems.
  • Technical major preferred: Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Other STEM or business-related majors encouraged: Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics.
