We are searching the best talent for a Product Development Technician to join our MedTech Team located in Warsaw, IN. Responsibilities

  • Checks equipment for appropriate operation within set parameters and refers abnormal results to leadership.
  • Assists with regular internal quality audits to maintain and upkeep quality systems in compliance to established regulations and standards.
  • Works with engineers to make cost efficient designs which are designed for manufacturability.
  • Presents results to management.
  • Works with engineering to develop timelines and products.
  • Uses complex computer aided industrial design applications to produce complex tool paths for machine tools.
  • Ensures adherence to all company safety policies and procedures and other safety precautions within the work area.
  • Functions as a technical advisor to engineering, design, and other departments.
  • Responsible for accurate programming, set-up, machining and inspection of prototypes and fixtures.
  • Serves as mentor/technical resource to Model Makers.
  • Evaluates projects for design and ease of manufacture.
  • Manages assigned projects to complete in a timely cost-conscious manner.
  • Participates in project team meetings.
  • Works with engineering team to assemble, evaluate and trouble shoot custom prototype requests.
  • Communicates project information to outside vendors, customers and supervisor.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding new machinery and software.
  • Works with other departments and suppliers as necessary.
  • Performs routine machine maintenance and general cleaning duties.
  • Completes special projects assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required. Preferred: Apprenticeship in tool/die, mold making/machine building or bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Applied Science.
  • 6-8 years work experience in custom machining environment.
  • Intermediate familiarity with GD&T.

Nice-to-haves

  • Utilizing interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate design information.
  • Ability to apply fundamental drafting and modeling skills.
  • Experience in model/drawing document control in Product Lifecycle Management system.
  • Experience with Siemens NX 10 or newer.
  • Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design for manufacture information.
  • Ability to program and set-up CNC machines to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Ability to plan and execute large projects with minimal supervision.
