Responsibilities

  • Support lifecycle management and continuous improvement activities for currently produced products.
  • Conduct lab testing of product samples, prototyping, maintaining CAD & documentation, developing/improving processes, and collaborating with manufacturing partners.
  • Review and update CAD & documentation of existing products in preparation of creating new production tooling.
  • Execute test plans to prove design functionality, durability, manufacturability, and reliability of parts from new tools.
  • Create prototypes to validate changes.
  • Design experiments to test finished products and individual components.
  • Design and build test apparatuses to suit specific needs.
  • Record, file, share, and present test results.
  • Communicate with and guide international manufacturing partners.
  • On-board new manufacturing partners by communicating and reinforcing company processes, requirements, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, quality team, manufacturing engineers, and product teams to ensure product and project goals are met.
  • Identify and implement product improvements and cost-savings initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or relevant industry.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in a professional product development/engineering environment.
  • Experience with CAD (SolidWorks or Creo), prototyping, and 3D printing.
  • Previous exposure to product manufacturing: plastic injection, sheet metal work, silicone molding, and die-casting.
  • Experience with Asian and North American manufacturing and sourcing.
  • Ability to travel internationally/domestically (up to 15%).
  • Proficiency in MS Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
