About the position

As a Product Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing configuration identification and engineering change processes for product development and release to production, from initial development to end of life. You will work with high-performance embedded GPS navigation receivers for aviation applications, which are deeply embedded in inertial navigation subsystems that communicate with aircraft Flight Management Systems. Manage BOM (creation, hierarchy, and life cycle), New Part Introduction, and the ECO process for releasing new products and changes to released product configurations to production. Manage CM processes for engineering development and product release, including configuration specification and lock-down for products, loadable images, and tools released to production. Handle CM of engineering development and release artifacts supporting ISO, DO-178C, and DO-254 design assurance processes. Support the Software Change Control Board (SCCB) and Hardware Change Control Board (HCCB). Develop and publish CM plans that support QA and design assurance processes. Collaborate with certification and QA leads to ensure that the deliverable system or development process meets the requirements of the CM plan. Oversee on-site and off-site CM archives.
