About the position

The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services. As a dedicated part-time Fall 2025 Product Engineering Intern, you'll be at the crucible of innovation, crafting and refining products for compute and display systems. Responsibilities

  • Dive into the heart of our production line, troubleshooting electrical systems and Intel PC chipsets.
  • Join forces with our design and development think tank to shape the future of semiconductor processing.
  • Take ownership of critical tasks, reviewing project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications.
  • Translate academic learning into real-world applications by integrating bills of materials and documentation.
  • Devise and fabricate new or modified electrical and mechanical systems, conducting rigorous testing.
  • Champion our mission and values, contributing to groundbreaking manufacturing methods and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate or master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related tech field.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of academic experience with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset driven by intellectual curiosity.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB layout design tools.
  • Familiarity with LTSpice or other SPICE analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and/or MATHCAD.
  • Familiarity with Creo, GD&T or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
