A role with the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence (COE) Product Team means you’re on a mission to advance the enterprise-wide pricing and promotion capabilities. Your work will impact millions of dollars in the form of everyday retail prices, promotional strategy and effectiveness, clearance management and competitive pricing. Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work. The Price Publish Product team owns the publication of all selling retails to the enterprise along with an advanced decision engine to decide what price, goes where, and when. The Product Manager has the opportunity to partner with businesses and products across the enterprise, elevate cross-product connectivity, and work with a talented global team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for the respective product.
  • Build strong knowledge of the product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and relevant data points.
  • Work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog.
  • Encourage open exchange of information and viewpoints, inspiring others to achieve challenging goals.
  • Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of product management experience or equivalent domain experience.
  • Familiarity with pricing or promotions enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams.
  • Experience working with global teams across geographies and time-zones.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence peers, key stakeholders and leaders.
  • Experience in working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas).
  • Ability to plan and set a strategy, define Organizational Key Results (OKRs), communicate and drive business outcomes.
  • Understanding of product areas of retail, marketing, digital or general tech.
