About the position

ACI Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: ACIW) develops a broad line of software focused on facilitating electronic payments. These products and services are used globally by banks, financial intermediaries, payment processors, payment associations, switch interchanges, merchants, corporations, and a wide range of transaction-generating endpoints, including automated teller machines ("ATM"), merchant point of sale ("POS") terminals, bank branches, mobile phones, tablet computers, corporations, and internet commerce sites. In short, we are helping banks, merchants, and billers capture real-time opportunities and volumes, all to meet the shifting needs of their consumers and business customers. The product manager shall maintain an intimate understanding of the payments industry and the competition to quickly identify opportunities and threats, leverage our strengths and overcome our weaknesses while influencing the overall ACI product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a strong understanding of the portfolio strategy
  • Clearly define and maintain the product backlog in alignment with the product strategy
  • Ensure the backlog is transparent and understood by all stakeholders
  • Ensure that all epics and features have quantifiable business value
  • Prioritize backlog items to maximize the value of the development team
  • Clarify epic and user story requirements and answer team questions
  • Create clear and testable acceptance criteria for each epic and user story
  • Manage user story size to ensure they can be accomplished in a single sprint
  • Participate in scrum team ceremonies (grooming, planning, review, retrospectives)
  • Validate business value and delivery of high-quality, working software
  • Facilitate the sprint review and demo; ensure sprint goals are accomplished
  • Communicate team commitments and accomplishments to the segment leader, stakeholders, and customers
  • Explore innovative ways to improve team processes and code quality
  • Monitors ATM demand driver budget and reports risks to leadership
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to other Product teams
  • Maintains deep payments industry knowledge
  • Provides solution-level direction across agile teams
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Product Management in a software development environment.
  • Ten years of related work experience
  • ATM device driver experience is a must.
  • Financial transaction authorization experience
