About the position

Perforce is searching for a Product Manager to join the Puppet team. The role will be responsible for defining the roadmap through performing research and collecting data from a series of stakeholders (internal/external). The Product Manager will connect the business outcomes, customer outcomes, strategy and technical plans via a product roadmap. Using their expertise in devops and platform automation, they must be able to articulate the necessary context and requirements for leading key, strategic capabilities in public cloud and private infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new product enhancements ensuring alignment with customer needs, business objectives and market opportunities
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize features.
  • Define and refine product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, focusing on technical accuracy and feasibility.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment between product goals and technical implementation, guiding architecture and technology choices.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and iterate on features to continuously improve product value and user satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform product strategy
  • May be required to support additional products/brands as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management or similar position
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in English.
  • The ability to gather, analyze and confidently present relevant data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep comfort with technical systems.
  • The ability to work cross-functionally as a team member and influencer.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing products in the infrastructure automation space.
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
