Primary Purpose
The Product Manager has responsibility for managing specific product sub-categories and vendors within business unit. Specific responsibilities include; vendor program development & management, product selection, and base price strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
-Manage and support supplier and dealer relationships. Serve as point of contact with regards to supplier/dealer issues.
-Select suppliers and products for all catalogs. Defines product offering (breadth and depth) that is market/customer focused, profitable, and expands assortment into new markets.
-Negotiates all terms of purchase and invoice costs.
-Manages relationship with suppliers and dealers. Resolves issues as needed.
-Conduct routine business reviews with suppliers.
-Partner with independent dealers to understand their market strategy and design programs in support.
-Develop short and long term strategic plans as it relates to assigned product line(s).
-Develop and execute necessary marketing communication plans, to include external communication to customers, and internal communication to inside and field sellers.

-Understanding of fundamental business principles, and management of price and price structures
-Strong problem solving skills
-Strong experience using Excel, Power Point, Word, and other related Microsoft tools
