About the position

The Mobility Business Unit Leader role will be responsible for managing the growth, roadmap, and profitability of the Mobility Business Unit within the Compute Test Division (CTD) in the Semitest Group. The role will manage a team of Marketing Leaders and Product Managers who are responsible for the different segments within the Mobility BU, such as Application Processor, Power Management, Wireless, Image Sensor, and Display. The role involves collaborating and working with multiple teams (executives, engineering, sales, and operations), understanding multiple markets/technological disruptions (Smartphone, Augmented Reality, and AI-driven consumer devices), and working with customers who are small to large semiconductor & vertically integrated companies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the mobility segment 4-year strategy and business plan
  • Drive (as key stakeholder) multi-generation product roadmap and manage entire product life cycle of products that are aligned to the Business Unit
  • Own forecast of products to drive inventory decisions and cost-down initiatives
  • Grow market share by prioritizing, targeting, and supporting strategic design-in activities, including competitive differentiation and resource trade-offs
  • Determine pricing strategy for the general market and key customers
  • Develop competitive differentiation through sales & marketing collateral
  • Identify emerging customers in US, Europe, Asia and develop strategic customer relationships in cooperation with sales
  • Synthesize market and business results for Quarterly Business Reviews, investor relations, and the executive management team
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of segment leaders, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Align BU strategy with CTD and SemiTest Group priorities, ensuring cohesive execution across platform, software, and test cell initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelors, preferably in electrical engineering or related field OR equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred, or equivalent managerial experience
  • 10+ years of marketing and/or sales experience in semiconductor industry
  • Strong leadership, analytical, synthesis and integration skills
  • Ability to integrate and provide visibility across all functions of the business and at all levels
  • Travel of >20% to be expected
