About the position

The Product Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping how our products are positioned, launched, and communicated to the world. Acting as the voice of the customer and the storyteller of the brand, this leader brings together deep market insights, compelling messaging, and strategic execution to drive product success. This highly cross-functional role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring our offerings are not only aligned with market needs but are also clearly understood and desired by our target audiences. From leading go-to-market (GTM) strategies to developing value-driven messaging frameworks, this person will translate product capabilities into stories that connect, convert, and scale. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative—passionate about understanding customer behavior, skilled at distilling complexity into clarity, and excited about working closely with internal teams to launch and grow category-leading products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts in understanding customer needs, pain points, and industry dynamics in close collaboration with the Product Management Team.
  • Design and execute market research studies (quantitative and qualitative), leveraging surveys, focus groups, and third-party reports.
  • Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations to guide product design and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain a continuous pulse on the competitive landscape, including monitoring of competitor product launches, messaging, pricing, reviews, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain competitive battle cards and market maps to support Sales and Product teams.
  • Share regular insights and implications with internal stakeholders to refine positioning and strategy.
  • Craft clear, compelling product positioning that translates technical features into customer benefits.
  • Develop and maintain messaging hierarchies, value props, and product storylines.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across touchpoints: website, email, social, retail, press, packaging.
  • Define and refine buyer personas and customer journeys in collaboration with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Identify and prioritize marketing channels for each persona and product segment.
  • Align targeting strategies with business goals and GTM plans.
  • Partner with the Product Management Team to articulate product UVPs (Unique Value Propositions) and translate technical features into customer benefits.
  • Develop and maintain messaging frameworks, positioning documents, and elevator pitches tailored to each target audience.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all touchpoints (website, packaging, presentations, sales tools, etc.).
  • Work closely with Creative team (Creative Manager & Graphic Designers) to create compelling product copy, packaging, and visuals that reflect brand and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with Director of Digital Marketing & E-commerce to ensure messaging is activated across digital channels, landing pages, and retention strategies.
  • Lead the marketing workstream for new product introductions, collaborating on GTM strategy, product roadmaps, and launch timelines.
  • Define goals, KPIs, and success metrics for each launch initiative.
  • Contribute to pricing and distribution strategies informed by market analysis.
  • Act as the key liaison between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure integrated execution of GTM plans.
  • Drive alignment on launch calendars, assets, messaging, and campaign timing.
  • Host recurring check-ins and updates to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Oversee the planning and development of product-related content across channels, including web, email, sales collateral, retail materials, and video.
  • Ensure all content clearly communicates product benefits, features, and use cases in a customer-centric manner.
  • Align content strategies with the buyer journey and GTM objectives.
  • Craft and guide the development of brand-consistent narratives that resonate emotionally and demonstrate product value.
  • Identify and develop customer stories, testimonials, and case studies to enhance credibility and engagement.
  • Write detailed creative briefs for internal and external creative teams, setting clear expectations and strategic context.
  • Oversee global content adaptation, ensuring localization and accurate translation to support international markets.
  • Establish processes to gather customer feedback through surveys, interviews, reviews, support tickets, and sales team insights.
  • Analyze feedback to inform product improvements, messaging strategies, and feature development.
  • Share customer insights regularly with Product and Sales teams to ensure a customer-informed approach.
  • Continuously refine and update buyer personas based on real-world customer data and interactions.
  • Use personas to guide content creation, messaging, campaign targeting, and product development decisions.
  • Ensure personas are widely adopted and referenced across departments.
  • Manage and lead staff: Oversee, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Drive ideation for creative campaign angles rooted in product value and customer desire.
  • Set clear goals, track performance, and provide feedback to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4+ years of marketing experience, with a strong focus on product marketing, branding, PR, and market share growth.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, storytelling, market analysis, and competitive differentiation.
  • Experience leading creative direction and working with design teams.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite).
