About the position

The FARGO Business Unit within Secure Issuance is looking for a highly motivated individual to play a critical role as we expand our product management capabilities for FARGO consumables. This individual will drive product management through an increased focus on consumables product strategy, customer understanding, product line management, new product development, pricing excellence and more. As our Product Marketing Manager you'll support HID's success by developing and executing comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for consumables, aligned with market needs and company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for consumables, aligned with market needs and company goals
  • Driving the success of the HID FARGO consumables business by identifying enhancements and managing the full product lifecycle
  • Collaborating with sales, support, and cross-functional teams to gather insights and align priorities
  • Leading the definition and implementation of portfolio improvements based on customer and market requirements
  • Identifying market opportunities and emerging trends to inform product planning
  • Collaborating with R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to guide new product development and ensure product-market fit
  • Coordinating product launches with cross-functional stakeholders for timely and successful release execution
  • Conducting market and competitive research to uncover unmet needs and inform product decisions
  • Understanding and interpreting analytical data to develop business recommendations
  • Representing HID Global as a subject matter expert at industry and customer-facing events
  • Partnering with internal teams to support execution of product strategies and business plans
  • Working with vendors to uncover opportunities for enhanced customer and business value
  • Aligning stakeholders across departments to ensure cross-functional success
  • Focusing on end-user needs to prioritize and deliver impactful solutions
  • Building strategic product roadmaps and executing with a high sense of accountability
  • Driving results through proactive planning, feedback integration, and continuous improvement
  • Championing product value across the organization and securing internal alignment
  • Communicating effectively and building strong relationships across functions

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience and proven track record will be taken into consideration.
  • Prudent technical comprehension skills related to electro-mechanical systems, electronic hardware and software solutions
  • 2-3 years of experience in product management, new product development or strategic marketing roles, with a proven track record of success in driving new product development and product line management
  • Customer focused mindset and ability to understand and align to end user needs
  • Strong analytical and strategic marketing skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable marketing and product strategies
  • Proven collaboration and cross-functional team management skills
  • Demonstrated cross-functional interaction with Sales, Quality, Finance and Operations
  • Experience in an international, multi-site and multicultural business environment
  • Product development expertise from concept to product launch
