Then it's time to join Western Union with the AML Compliance team as a Product Owner. Western Union powers your pursuit. In this role, you will be working side-by-side with a multidisciplinary development team to oversee the development and delivery of a suite of compliance case management products. You will work in collaboration with product managers and the leadership team in the Compliance Systems & Analytics department to execute and deliver the product vision. The Product Owner will establish working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will own the creation of epics, features, and user stories. We're looking for a confident leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation and on-time delivery of high-quality products that improve customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product requirements, define and document business and operational processes, own and manage sprints, and own end-to-end delivery for new features and capabilities.
  • Define and manage the Sprint process with the Scrum master.
  • Collect business requirements from stakeholders, and write features, user stories and Epics.
  • Manage Sprint requirements and backlog.
  • Collaborate with QA on test cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage and execute the User Acceptance Testing for the sprints, and monthly releases.
  • Evaluate and recommend new vendors and tools to complement current capabilities.
  • Interact with other internal departments to formulate recommendations and actions.
  • Interaction with various groups around the globe, including becoming the SME for specific products and projects.
  • Be tasked with 'thinking out of the box' and creating clear recommendations on specific projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-8 years of product experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Agile processes and frameworks - Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
  • Experience in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in writing Gherkin acceptance criteria preferred.
  • Experience in writing database SQL/HQL queries preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business requirements.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks independently.
