About the position

At HFD, our mission is to make healthcare more affordable by giving everyone a better way to pay. The EPIC Product Owner will report to the Director of Product and play a key role in driving the growth and success of HFD's partner-facing APIs. This role balances customer advocacy, technical understanding, and business alignment to deliver high-impact solutions. You'll champion your products across the organization, drive adoption, and help ensure seamless partner experiences through our API integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the success of HFD's Integrations product domain by maximizing the output and effectiveness of the development team.
  • Own the product backlog, organizing, prioritizing, and clearly defining backlog items.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and translate business needs into clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on product goals, project scope, and technical requirements.
  • Support external partners by assisting them in integrating HFD's APIs into their platforms.
  • Work directly with partner teams to ensure smooth onboarding and resolve integration challenges.
  • Regularly refine the product vision and adjust priorities based on partner and business feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on software, APIs, or technical integrations.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication methods, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and partner-facing solutions.
  • CSPO or related certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with external partners or customers to support API integrations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Passion for solving problems, driving innovation, and continuously improving both products and processes.
  • A growth mindset and commitment to mastering the craft of product ownership.
