About the position

The Product Owner works with the product leadership (Sr./Lead Product Owner and Director) to drive the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. This role involves collaborating with business owners, leadership, engineering, UX, and research teams to define and adapt the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities. They develop requirements, prioritize the product backlog, lead, and participate in Agile ceremonies. The Product Owner engages in continuous discovery and delivery, leading the alignment and integration of feedback on product features, functionality, and user experience. They monitor product performance, analyze feedback, and address gaps to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business owner, sponsor and product leadership to define the product vision, and strategy, problems to solve, establish product OKRs and KPIs and impact of goals.
  • Clearly communicate the product vision, strategy, goals, and requirements to the engineering, architect, research and UX teams.
  • Lead the Agile team toward outcomes rather than outputs (achieving and exceeding OKR/KPI targets).
  • Partner with the business owner, Product Owner Leader to develop the product requirements document (PRD).
  • Own the product roadmap and collaborate with the business owner to prioritize the features/functions.
  • Decompose and adapt the product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Synthesize ideas, user feedback, learnings, insights and revised business needs into the opportunities backlog.
  • Lead and engage in continuous discovery and delivery with architecture, engineering, product design (UX), research, and QA teams.
  • Create flows and concept sketches to communicate product vision and ideas.
  • Plan and prioritize the product backlog, epics, features, and user stories.
  • Identify and manage product risks, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies, including program increments (PI), sprint planning, Inspect & Adapt, demos, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Evaluate and track product performance (KPI), collect and interpret feedback after production.
  • Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Min 3 years of experience in product development, with a proven track record of successful product delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (PO/PM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner is preferred.
