About the position

As a Product Photographer, you will produce high-quality ecommerce images for a wide range of products—including auto parts, industrial components, and consumer packaged goods—at our Taylor, Michigan studio. You will be responsible for completing projects from shoot to shipment, supporting studio operations, and collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow. We are seeking applicants with a strong eye for detail, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality product images that meet customer and project standards, while researching and introducing new photography techniques to enhance studio output.
  • Assist with product preparation including unpacking, cleaning, layout, and re-packaging of products.
  • Manage project workflows by overseeing quality control, sample images, resource coordination, and photography-related tasks.
  • Operate studio equipment safely, including receiving formal training on the forklift/tow motor.
  • Handle shipping and receiving by checking in products, preparing them for return, and ensuring proper documentation and packaging to minimize damage.
  • Organize studio space and product inventory to maximize efficiency and maintain clear categorization by customer and project.
  • Record time spent on each task and project using time-tracking software to support accurate project management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Several years of tabletop product photography experience across diverse product categories.
  • Strong understanding of camera settings and their impact on image quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production studio with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfort using PCs and photography software in a production environment.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Daily commute availability to Taylor, Michigan.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with studio lighting setups, including strobe and constant lighting.
  • Background in automotive parts photography.
  • A great looking online portfolio (Recommended).
