Job Description

Company is looking for an experienced Product Quality Architect to join our
new Solidfire team. SolidFire s product is a rapidly growing enterprise class
data storage company currently in production with an all SSD solution,
specifically designed for large-scale, public and private cloud deployments.
SolidFire is delivering high availability, high performance, fault
tolerant software that runs concurrently on up to 100 nodes. We flawlessly
pool resources and can maintain data integrity even when the network,
rack, node, hardware, device, file system, kernel or other software
components fail. This is a great opportunity to work on a high powered team
delivering an industry changing product within an extremely high growth sector
of the tech industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced hands on QE/QA Architect to provide
technical leadership and help drive operational excellence into in our systems
quality engineering activities. This is a high visibility role that will
impact the fundamental performance of our cloud storage solution.
The Product Quality Architect will play an integral role in developing
comprehensive test strategy, robust test plans, actively participate in
delivery of product, and provide analytics for our low latency and extremely
high performance distributed data storage system. Additional responsibilities
include:
Develop comprehensive End to End test strategy, plans, and drive reviews
of them
Facilitate and drive test strategy and plan for complex software features
partnering with Dev and Automation
Provides outspoken leadership mentoring QE and Automation in test planning
and execution
Innovate and drive improvement of quality best practices and incorporate
with the development teams
Actively participate in Architecture teams to improve the product and
quality capabilities
Assist development engineers in fault isolation, root cause analysis of
failures and resolution
Engage and support effective delivery of key Quality KPI's for continuous
improvement
Proactively evaluate and recommend new test methodologies and technologies
that improve quality and cycle time

Job Requirements
Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of conducting test
architecture on highly complex, storage system software with a strong
background in software quality engineering. More specific requirements
include:
Must have excellent analytical skills and be able to debug complex system
problems and characterize system issues
Must be able to look beyond the feature silos and articulate from a
comprehensive product ecosystem view
Must have experience developing and executing end to end complex distributed
system level test strategy, plans, test cases and reports
Must have experience implementing test strategies to support continuous
delivery practices ensuring high product quality
Must be able to engage multiple teams effectively and drive quality best
practices across those teams
Self starter ability to identify areas for improvement and proactively drive
quality initiatives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple test
executions simultaneously
Excellent oral, and written communication skills with the ability to
clearly present complex technical issues
Experience in software development and best practices a plus Python,
C++, etc
Experience working with Linux or Unix
Previous experience in storage technologies and protocols a plus
Education and Experience
B.S. or M.S. degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 8 years relevant experience
