About the position

Hendrick Honda Woodbridge is seeking a Sales Associate who will be responsible for selling new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves meeting dealership sales goals, greeting customers, determining their vehicle preferences, explaining features, and demonstrating vehicle operations. The Sales Associate will also compute and quote sales prices, complete necessary paperwork, arrange for vehicle delivery and registration, and engage in business development activities. Maintaining customer satisfaction index (CSI) at or above company standards and participating in required training are also essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • Meets dealership sales goals.
  • Greets customers and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slip or sales contract.
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engages in business development.
  • Addresses customer concerns.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive field.
  • Experience of up to 3 years in sales or customer service.
