About the position

UPM Raflatac is looking for a Product Specialist located in Mills River, North Carolina. The goal is to enhance efficiency and deliver high-quality products and premium service to customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working across all departments in a global company. The position involves monitoring product performance, providing recommendations to Product Managers, supporting internal processes for planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, preparing commercial documentation, maintaining product data, reviewing product life cycles, and supporting Product Managers with business analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product performance and report data.
  • Provide recommendations back to the Product Managers ensuring product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
  • Support internal processes/systems for planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare and administer commercial documentation.
  • Maintain product data in multiple systems.
  • Review product life cycle on product portfolios, to alert when product needs change or discontinuation.
  • Handle product lines maintenance tasks, allocating the right product offer to products and to enable use of global products regionally.
  • Support Product Managers with business analysis as required for gaps or actions plans to be implemented in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or corresponding experience.
  • 0-3 years of product marketing, business development or product management experience.
  • Recent college graduates considered with internship experience.
  • Paper or packaging industry experience or exposure (optional).
  • Willingness to learn and a growth mindset which encourages curiosity learning.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to remain open amidst fluctuating business conditions.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business case facts.
