Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the PTS Tier I, II, & VI and Field Sales & Service organization to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide technical support for the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and create and maintain literature for instructions.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for key Accounts to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, fax, or email.
  • Create and maintain technical service bulletins, service letters, and work directly with the publishing team in Cork, Ireland.
  • Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing products and new products being introduced.
  • Assist in test plans to prove out new and/or existing product equipment offerings.
  • Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment.
  • Create novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers.
  • Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience OR six (6) years of technical experience with in-depth knowledge of HVAC&R products.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience with starters and variable speed drives.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex product power electronic problems.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documents (manuals, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with power electronics associated with HVAC&R products.
