About the position

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring product quality and conformance to aerospace, customer, and AS9100 standards. The right candidate will use a range of precision inspection equipment, analyze inspection results, and actively contribute to our Quality Management System (QMS). You’ll be part of a high-performance culture that thrives on innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform First Article (FAI), In-Process, Receiving, and Final Inspections using precision hand tools, vision systems, and CMMs.
  • Conduct visual inspections under magnification to ensure parts meet print and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintain nonconforming product segregation and support MRB process as needed.
  • Use sampling plans to determine lot acceptance and report inspection results accurately.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of precision measuring equipment in accordance with internal and AS9100 procedures.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T to verify compliance to specifications.
  • Review supplier certifications and documentation for conformity to part and material standards.
  • Provide guidance and informal training to operators on proper inspection techniques and equipment usage.
  • Maintain organized and accurate quality records using MS Office and quality management systems.
  • Participate in internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operate and/or assist with CMM programming and measurement using PC-DMIS.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with quality software preferred.
  • Able to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.
  • Willing to take initiative, support team goals, and continuously improve processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
  • Graduate of a two-year technical program or equivalent combination of education and work experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of metrology concepts (e.g., 10:1 rule), hand gaging, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Working understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sampling techniques, quality plans, and AS9100 or ISO 9001 requirements is preferred.
