About the position

Under the leadership of the department manager, the Radiologic Technologist is responsible for delivering quality patient care to all patient populations in Radiology during hours on duty. The Radiologic Technologist possesses skills and knowledge to competently provide diagnostic quality and radiographs with proper documentation of radiology record requirements and radiation safety, maximizing the use of equipment and resources. Position interacts in a positive, service-oriented manner with patients, medical staff, and peers and performs all radiographic procedures and all RIS and HIS procedures in the area of assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality patient care in Radiology during assigned hours.
  • Provide diagnostic quality radiographs with proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with radiology record requirements and radiation safety protocols.
  • Maximize the use of equipment and resources in the department.
  • Interact positively and service-oriented with patients, medical staff, and peers.
  • Perform all radiographic procedures and RIS and HIS procedures in the area of assignment.

Requirements

  • Acute care hospital radiologic technologist experience within the past three years is preferred.
  • Current licensure with the State of California in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current certification with the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
  • Must obtain CA Fluoroscopy license within 6 months of employment.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $60.08 to $80.32 based on years of applicable experience.
  • Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.49.
  • Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.24.
