About the position

The Regional Marketing Manager will lead and mentor the proposal development team and manage and execute pursuit-related deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to ensure alignment with strategic goals and best practices for all pursuit-related deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Marketing on pipeline, workload, and strategic pursuits.
  • Lead, mentor, and facilitate the growth of proposal development team members, including Proposal Specialists, Coordinators, Assistants, and other designated staff.
  • Manage the development of comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other client deliverables, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions.
  • Develop pursuit strategies in collaboration with leadership, including differentiators and targeted messaging for proposals.
  • Identify potential risks or challenges in pursuit processes and propose mitigation strategies to leadership.
  • Coordinate and delegate proposal tasks to team members within and beyond the department, ensuring an efficient and balanced workload.
  • Create and manage proposal schedules to ensure timely completion of all deliverables, incorporating input from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review, edit, and proofread proposal content for clarity, grammar, and adherence to corporate brand standards.
  • Ensure proposal compliance with all client requirements, including technical specifications and submission guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain team member resumes, project profiles, and other proposal assets in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposal-related presentations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct strategy sessions and debrief meetings to refine proposal approaches and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze proposal success rates to identify trends and optimize strategies for future pursuits.
  • Research and maintain awareness of regional market trends, competitors, and opportunities to support targeted proposal efforts.
  • Support the integration and adoption of tools like CRM systems, document management platforms, and design software to enhance team productivity.
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective proposal collaboration and alignment with corporate goals.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Successfully executing multiple marketing deliverables with precision and punctuality
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite to include InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and various browsers
  • Proficient in DAM, CRM, database, and task management systems
