About the position

We're seeking a dedicated Reman Pallet Builder to join our team, responsible for constructing high-quality pallets using both recycled and new lumber. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and are committed to safety and quality, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

• Building pallets of various sizes with precision, utilizing recycled and new lumber to ensure consistent quality.
• Operating and maintaining multiple types of small and large equipment, including high-powered saws.
• Performing regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Meeting or exceeding daily production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced assembly line environment.
• Identifying and understanding different types and grades of pallets, and evaluating them to ensure they meet PLA standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace to reduce accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Promptly escalating any technical or process issues to leadership.
• Fostering exceptional and collaborative partnerships with facility staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse functions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or construction is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating a variety of saws, including their uses and basic maintenance, is preferred.
• Ability to work safely with high-powered saws in a fast-paced assembly line environment.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed daily production goals and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects and imperfections in pallets.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; however, any combination of education and experience will be considered.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
