About the position

As the Representative, Marketing – UPRV, you will partner with the Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations (UPRV) Management Team to develop, manage and execute the marketing and commerce plans for Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) & Universal’s New Ventures (UNV). You will assist the Management Team with overall business direction, including achieving annual business and financial goals, all marketing and sales functions and analysis of all programs. You will collaborate with numerous internal & external stakeholders on the execution of integrated business and marketing plans, as well as participating in workshops/planning meetings for implementation and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with USH & UNV Team Members & various external stakeholders.
  • Leveraging these relationships for planning, developing & implementing marketing plans.
  • Manage UPRV USH & UNV website content & commerce engines.
  • Assist in the creation of consumer & travel agent websites & stores for Universal Kids Resort.
  • Partner with leadership to provide strategic direction to IT/E-Com teams regarding packaging and commerce capability requirements.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of Consumer Direct & Travel Agent tactical plans.
  • Meet with internal/external stakeholders & communicate production information and project timelines on behalf of UPRV.
  • Review marketing comps and provide feedback via Workfront.
  • Assist in development of strategic marketing roadmaps.
  • Work with 3rd party partners to develop and implement marketing plans.
  • Enter project details into Workfront or other relevant project management systems.
  • Attend action workshop for all related projects.
  • Partner closely with channel execution teams to ensure tactics are supporting overall UPRV business goals & strategies.
  • Align with UPRV Revenue Management, Product & Product Operations teams on all USH & UNV product/campaign launches.
  • Manage ongoing industry research focusing on marketing materials & promotional offers and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline is required.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience within one of the following industries is required: Travel, Theme Parks, Tour Operators, Online Travel Agencies, Airlines, Hotels and/or Car Rental.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally WorkFront.
  • Clear Communication and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and proofreading skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency working with data, analyzing information and reporting findings.
  • Prior experience working in a team environment.
  • Must be energetic, self-motivated, a quick learner and demonstrate a strong personal desire to achieve results.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Extremely detail oriented and resourceful.
