Retail Associate - Tennis Warehouse & Running Warehouse - La Quinta, CA

About the position

This is a new retail location that hasn't opened. This position requires physically reporting to work in La Quinta, CA. We are looking for reliable and personable individuals to help us build lasting relationships with our Tennis Warehouse and Running Warehouse customers in our retail storefront located in La Quinta, California. Responsibilities

• Greet customers and offer warm hospitality throughout their visit.
• Provide thorough assistance to all customers in a friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable manner.
• Display a comprehensive and current understanding of company policies, procedures, products and services.
• Offer outstanding customer service, meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations whenever possible.
• Maintain store inventory and appearance, engaging in stocking, merchandising and cleaning.
• Be flexible during busy times by helping fellow co-workers and multi-tasking.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Continuously learn and develop skills, procedures and information relevant to the position.
• Understand resources available to locate answers to product questions.
• Communicate with other departments when necessary, regarding any customer issues.
• Participate in training clinics and provide product feedback for use on the website.

Requirements

• One weekend shift may be required.
• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Passion and knowledge for Tennis, Pickleball or Running preferred.
• Stringing experience a plus.
• Listen well to customers and serve them in a manner that is friendly.
• Solve problems with creativity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate ability to learn new software applications.
• Communicate effectively, encourage others and behave professionally.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Take direction well and learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Focus, maintain attention to detail and balance multiple duties in a dynamic environment.
• Work independently and productively, stay motivated and appropriately prioritize tasks.

Benefits

• $17.00- $20.00 an hour
