About the position

As the Retention Marketing Specialist for PHI Direct and Furkin, you will help us on our mission to build our pack of members across Canada, and to expand beyond Canada in the future. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, with a focus on member or customer communications, onboarding journeys, promotional email marketing, organic social media, and loyalty and rewards initiatives. Experience utilizing HubSpot, or a similar CRM, for data management, list building, and contact segmentation is a must. This role will require strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a tenacity to learn new skills in an intrapreneurial environment. We know that talented pet-loving professionals are everywhere. This is a position open to candidates anywhere in the US or Canada. If you live in the greater Seattle area, you will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week. This position is a one year, fixed-term contract with benefits and bonus opportunity included.

Responsibilities

  • Play an important role in optimizing marketing channels to engage customer retention efforts
  • Provide reporting on campaign & program performance as well as insights and recommendations
  • Work cross-functionally with the Marketing Team, Care Team, and IT to launch, maintain, and evolve retention campaigns
  • Work with external agencies or contractors on social assets, campaign development, and more
  • Identify data needs and requirements for evolving personalization and dynamic content across a rapidly growing brand family
  • Leverage A/B testing, segmentation, and behavioral targeting to maximize engagement and next best actions
  • Build segmentation & targeting logic, set up automations and workflows, identify dynamic content requirements, and drive continuous improvements within the HubSpot platform
  • Identify opportunities to improve retention rates through various digital marketing channels - web, email, social
  • Build, maintain, and optimize email marketing campaigns such as member onboarding series, promotional email, member newsletter, and more
  • Identify and manage member stories, UGC highlights, and surprise and delight opportunities
  • Manage content library of policyholder and claims communications in T-Pet and Vision and regularly update communications to ensure we exceed members’ expectations throughout their journey
  • Provide administrative support on areas such as Planted in Memory / pet loss sympathy, claims form management and upkeep, email inboxes, social comment monitoring, Wrike submissions
  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed
  • Manage and grow refer a friend program
  • Support member initiatives for potential North American expansion
  • Manage both brands' social media accounts, including content creation and comment management

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience writing for SEO preferred
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools and campaign development (MailChimp, HubSpot, or similar)

Nice-to-haves

  • Email coding knowledge (HTML, CSS)
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
  • Proficiency with Canva and design programs such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Understanding of survey management tools (i.e. Survey Monkey)
  • Solid understanding of project management software such as Asana, or JIRA
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize day-to-day funnel performance
  • Tenacity in learning new skills, identifying solutions and resolving issues
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively, and to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized and responsive with great attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, creative, and innovative mindset
