The Search Engine Marketing Strategist (Planner) leads the efforts to increase site visibility, click through rates, and conversion rates for clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Engage in all facets of clients search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns, including initial planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting.
· Integrate paid search (pay-per-click) efforts into clients media campaigns.
· Manage bid management tools to effectively achieve the highest ROAS (ROI) across the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) as well as contextual marketing when appropriate.
· Identify additional search channels and tactics that assist in achieving partner marketing objectives
· Develop campaign copy/creative, text-based titles and descriptions; establish keyword creations and mapping to campaign goals.
· Utilize optimization techniques to improve keyword and phrases.
· Execute competitive research utilizing comprehensive tool sets
· Research, identify and establish partnerships with respected Web sites for link-building.
· Must be able to minimize CPC by increasing your quality index.
· Make site recommendations to improve visibility, CTR, and increase conversions.
· Generate results reports.
· Generate ranking reports and conduct site audits.
· Analyze data to develop actionable insights that can be measured and reported.
· Develop performance metrics to provide recommendations and continually revise campaign strategy.
· Ensure that SEM campaigns satisfy clients goals.
· Partner with technical staff and media team when necessary.
· Report project status to upper management.
· Accurately estimate timing and project scope.
· Timely delivery of projects is essential.
· Monitor emerging industry trends and stay up-to-date of search algorithms, indexing, data modeling and best practices
Requirements
· BA or MA preferred.
· At least 2-5 years of related experience with search engine marketing.
· Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies.
· Proficient with reporting, analytical tools.
· Experience managing PPC, CPA, and CPC campaigns.
· Knowledge of Adwords, etc.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
· Top-notch project management and presentation skills are required.
