Secondary Marketing Specialist

About the position

HomeXpress is seeking a Secondary Marketing Specialist to join our Capital Markets team. This role is crucial for generating the Secondary Marketing daily position report, maintaining data integrity with the QRM Mortgage Banking System, and performing ad hoc reporting. The Specialist will interact with multiple trading desks within Capital Markets, including the Lending divisions of HomeXpress Mortgage Corp. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a service-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing and rate lock duties of the Lock Desk each day for loan submissions and the pipeline.
• Administer rate extension and exception policies when requested.
• Administer loan sales, which entails pooling loans, distributing loan tapes, preparing purchase schedules, and acting as the direct line of communication with investors.
• Coordinate the administrative duties of loan securitizations, which entails collecting various documents and signatures and validating loan populations on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the servicing administration of the originated loans including coordinating loan boarding and collection reporting.
• Coordinate the receipt and delivery of legal documents to the various financing and investor counter-parties.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Market pricing and hedge coverage knowledge.
• Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word.
• Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management.
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Preferred 2 years of lock desk / secondary marketing experience.
