About The Position

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a part-time Security Guard to join our team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Part-Time: NOC SHIFT Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Pay Rate: $20.00-22.50 / hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mission Essential

Nice To Haves

• Prior security guard experience preferred
• Guard Card preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guest and team members
• Ensures community and grounds are secure by monitoring surveillance equipment
• Patrols community on a regular basis throughout shift
• Assists maintenance personnel in the event of an emergency
• Provides high visibility and presence to assure residents of caution and care
• Documents any unusual findings, completes incident reports as needed
• Maintains radio contact with front desk
• Responds to emergency radio calls
• Follows procedures for emergencies including aiding and directing emergency vehicles and personnel as needed
• Ensures any safety hazards are removed or corrected as needed
• May respond to emergency alarms
