As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet residents and guests, support access control and badge processes, and communicate clearly while documenting activity using a computer or tablet. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or property concerns and take appropriate action consistent with post orders to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and/or resident requests.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and/or policy violations in written reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
